Savory Asian Style Lettuce Wraps ingredients
- 2 lb Ground Chicken
- 1 can Diced Water Chestnuts 14 oz
- 2 cups Shitake and Cremini mushrooms chopped
- ½ cups Soy Sauce
- ¼ cups Dark Soy Sauce
- 1 tbsp Chopped Garlic
- ¼ cups Ginger
- 1 tbsp CBK "5 Spice Habanero & Ginger"
- 1 tbsp Pimentos diced
- 1 tsp Sugar
- 1 tbsp Sesame Oil
- 1 tbsp Rice Wine Vinegar
- 2 tbsp Mirin
- 2 tbsp Oyster Sauce
- 2 cups Scallion chopped
METHOD:In a large sauté pan on medium-high heat add 2 TB of EVO and the ground chicken, cook until cooked through, approximately 5-7 minutes. Add the ginger, diced water chestnuts, mushrooms, soy sauces, garlic, CBK - “5 Spice Habanero & Ginger, roasted red peppers, sugar, rice wine vinegar, oyster sauce, mirin and scallions. Cook for 5-8 minutes until all the flavors are incorporated together. Turn the heat down and while cooking make a slurry adding equal parts water and cornstarch in 1/3 cup. Pour over the chicken mixture while cooking, simmer until thickened. Remove from the heat and serve in lettuce cups. Garnish with pickled ginger and cilantro sprouts.
